Please call the school office between 8:15 and 8:45 am to report your child’s absence from school. New York State law requires a written excuse upon the child’s return.
Children who arrive after 8:50 a.m. are considered tardy and must report to the Nurse’s Office upon arrival to obtain a classroom pass. Children are not marked “tardy” for school bus transportation reasons. **Please refer to the Student/Parent Handbook for more information.
A written request must be sent into school if a child needs to be dismissed earlier than 3:00 p.m., stating the child's name, reason for early dismissal, date and time of dismissal, and the person picking up the student.
School districts may decide to close early due to inclement weather or emergency, and will send their district bus to Holy Cross earlier than usual. Please give your child instructions on what to do in this event. On these rare occasions, it is best that your child know what to do. It is almost impossible for us to contact every parent.
